Before creating PowerExcel Slices, configure the settings to automatically display the sidebar as this would assist in reducing the number of clicks needed to perform the work with the PowerExcel sidebar. To do this, navigate to the PowerExcel tab in Excel and click on the Options icon in the Power Excel Slice control group. Check the Automatically display sidebar option in the Slice Options dialog. Click Save to complete and store the setting.
